Lord God, we lift up our pastor as we acknowledge that You have called and ordained him, and we are to minister to him through our prayers.
We ask that You equip him with power for his ministry and the gifts he needs to be effective.
We ask that You keep him in your highest will.
We ask that You give him the wisdom and words he needs to meet his congregational needs.
We ask that You watch over his family and provide them with a fair and equal amount of his time that they might not feel shortchanged.
We ask that You grant him more than sufficient time to spend with You each day that his spiritual needs might be met.
We ask that You relieve him of financial burdens and meet all his physical needs.
We ask that you grant him health that his ministry may not be hindered.
We ask that You grant him material for weekly sermons that he might feed Your sheep.
We ask You for a hedge of protection around him that he might not be attacked by the enemy satan.
We ask You, Almighty God to empower our beloved minister with all he needs to be an effective leader of his congregation.
We lift him up to You and ask for blessings upon him, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen

Lord God, this broken bone is not only a shock, but it is painful. I need You to touch it for perfect healing.
I read in Job 10:11 "You have clothed me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews." I am calling upon Your name as Creator to knit this bone together perfectly.
I realize how fragile my inwards are. I recall that Jesus' did not have one bone broken: Psa 34:20 "He keeps all his bones: Not one of them is broken." I had hoped that this was a Scripture promise for me also, but this accident has come upon me.
Help me not to compound the fracture further and to attentively follow the attending physician's instructions.
Help me to realize my bones are aging as I am also.
Help me to acknowledge that You alone can heal this and restore the bone to perfect health.
Help me to call upon Your name to manage the pain.
Help me to be grateful that bones can heal. It is wonderful that You have provided us with this repair.
Help me to be patient until I am restored again to perfection.
Help me to provide the caution and care that is necessary for complete healing.
Lord God, I will not be taken aback by this incident, but I will continue to proclaim Your name as Healer in my life, through Christ Jesus. Amen

Father God, we praise and thank You for being our Great Provider. You have blessed with a lifetime of being able to earn a living in the workforce. The time has come to retire, to stop working and enjoy the golden years.
Lord, many concerns come to light as preparations are made for this life-changing event.
Our great God, grant the finances needed to be able to live without worry. You own the cattle on a thousand hills and you care about our specific needs.
Be our Healer, Dear Lord, and keep our health able to be maintained on a fixed income.
Use us Lord as your servants, to be able to provide insight and wisdom to others when You call us into action. Show us ways to use the extra time to make a difference in someone’s life, to bring You glory, and to promote your Kingdom.
Grant us peace and the joy of Your divine presence as we go through this major transition.
We pray all this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, I am really torn and in turmoil and I turn to You to lift me up and keep me in Your will.
I have had so many trials in my life, and yet the example of Christ's love toward others and His patience with them have sustained me. I find myself at a crossroads once more.
I am not sure how I have gotten to this uncertain place in my life. I do know my faith is being tried as gold in a refinery. Remove the dross from me Lord, that I might be purified.
I find myself exhausted, yet the Holy Spirit has turned me toward Your throne of grace to plead mercy on this situation and my state of mind.
I do not want to let You down and I do not want to let others see shortness of patience within me.
I know that I am to be a living example of Christ. I know I represent Him. I know that others will be attracted to accepting Him by the great steadiness and stability that I represent Christ Jesus as.
Help me, sweet Lord, to persevere.
Help me sweet Lord, to shine.
Help me sweet Lord to hold my temper.
Help me sweet Lord, to hang in there.
Help me sweet Lord, to epitomize Your grace.
Help me sweet Lord, to cling to You and not to count the cost.
Be with me as I speak now with You about how near I am to failure if the Holy Spirit does not intercede for me.
Grant me a humble and clean spirit as I witness to how loving and patient You are with us all. Let me have another day of patience. Let me have it without bitterness, resentment or a spirit of gloating. Keep me from being spiritually like a Pharisee.
Sustain me and help me to turn this burden fully and completely to You, that I might not shame You with my impatience.
I have proclaimed Your name, and I will continue to proclaim Your name. Help me dear Lord to display patience in this situation. I plead before Your throne of mercy, because of the merits of Christ Jesus. Amen

Prayer Against Workplace Strife

Gracious Loving God, Jesus promised us peace if our mind would be stayed on Him. During this turmoil and strife in my workplace, help me to keep my eyes fixed upon Jesus.
Lord God, this workplace is divided and in chaos. We seem to have the few that stir up trouble. Rumors run rampant and tempers flare. The tension is so thick, it feels like you could cut it with a knife. We need Your Presence and peace to restore this work environment.
I pray for those that are causing the strife that they might find harmony in their lives through Christ.
I pray for those affected by this turmoil that they might keep a level head on their shoulders and not fall into the trap of stooping so low to retaliate.
I pray for myself that You might grant that I be a peacemaker. You have promised blessings for those that act in this role.
Keep me calm and sane, dear Lord. Help me not to take home my stress and place it upon my family or upon those that should never be affected by my office experience.
Grant that I might do all in my power to continue to do a good day's work for a good day's pay.
Help those that are causing the friction to recognize their roles as unhealthy and turn them to repentance.
Dear Lord, restore peace and harmony to our workplace and grant that we might all act out of love and not hate. Through Christ Jesus the Peacemaker we pray. Amen

Prayer Before Major Purchase

Gracious God, we are called to be good stewards and to be wise stewards financially. We are seeking You for wisdom and guidance before we spend money on this purchase. It is an item which is necessary and an item which is long overdue. Yet, if You do not bless and send provision for this purchase then we will be met with nothing but difficulty ahead.
For this reason Lord, we desire to firmly hear Your voice and to be assured that You have authorized this transaction. If it is merely our fleshly desire and not Your will, we need to know before this money is laid out. Please be clear Lord, so that we do not run in vain.
Help us Lord, to get the best quality that our money can buy.
Help us Lord, to negotiate the best price that we can, and to get the most bang for our buck.
Help us Lord, to take great care with this item so that it might last us beyond expectancy.
Help us Lord, to be grateful that we can make this purchase which enhances our living conditions.
Help us Lord, with this added expense to make ends meet.
Help us Lord, most of all, not to shortchange finances in Your Kingdom and lose the blessings You have promised to shower upon us.
Help us Lord to tighten our belts and budget for any other major purchases that might be upcoming.
We thank You Lord, for guidance, wisdom and for being our Accountant. We praise You for You are our guide and will oversee our choices that they might be Yours. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Almighty God, we read of Joseph being wrongly placed into prison; we read of Peter wrongly placed into prison; we read of Barabbas justly placed into prison and released; and we read countless other examples in Your Word. We know, Almighty God that You are familiar with the prisoner.
We bring to you our petition for those that are incarcerated. Perhaps no one but You and them know the entire truth as to why they are confined, but we recall Jesus' words in the parable of the last judgment, "I was in prison and you visited me." We want to be that ambassador in prayer and deed for this one we know imprisoned.
Their life has had a terrible setback. Their freedom has been taken away. They live a daily life in not only drudgery, but often in fear. They have been abandoned by some for their actions or because of their incarceration. They have met with financial hardship. They have left behind loved ones with no way of providing for their needs. Their hardships are many and this is why we call upon Your glorious name to comfort the prisoner.
May they use this time apart to draw close to You. May they learn that Jesus is one that sticks closer than a brother. May they know the power of prayer. May they feel Your forgiveness. May they not be hardened. May they have Your hedge of protection around them. May their basic needs be met fully. May their release be expedient. May their loves ones be watched over by You. May they feel the freedom in their spirit to glorify Your name and be a witness to others.
Bless, O merciful God this prisoner who is confined and display Your mercy and compassion to them. We pray in the glorious name of Jesus. Amen

Prayer For Holy Spirit Power

Almighty God, if You have called us to this ministry, You will equip us with Holy Spirit power. You will grant us the gifts that we need to excel.
Act 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
Lord, we see others run but without being called. Make our calling sure.
Lord, we see others serving but without humility. Make us humble.
Lord we see others doing works but without power. Grant that the Holy Spirit enable us to do the works of Christ Jesus.
Lord, we see those in the ministry who have no personal time with You. Grant that we set aside the most important share of the day to converse with You and study Your Word.
Lord, we see others that do not have a prayer life. Grant us faith and expectation each time we ask mighty things in Jesus' name and praise and worship You.
Lord, we see others in business as the money changers were, yet they never open a generous hand to others. Make us more than generous in all we do. Remind us that we freely received and we should freely give.
Almighty God, our desire is to serve You and be Your witnesses to the uttermost parts of the earth. Enable us for this ministry. May Thy Holy Spirit fall upon us and may we recognize how to stir up the gifts within us.
Almighty God, we beseech Thee to take not the Holy Spirit from us. Help us to serve You in a manner that You might be glorified and honored by all.
Fall upon us sweet, gentle Holy Spirit and enable us to do the works that Christ Jesus did, and calls us to do. Through His mighty name we ask these things. Amen

Almighty God, I want to thank You for this time in my life that I caregive for others. All my natural instincts tell me to complain and rebel, but I see clearly that Jesus was the ultimate caregiver. If I have failed to see the servant in Him, then my time in prayer to You would be in vain.
Lord, keep me patient.
Lord, keep me humble.
Lord, keep me from being resentful.
Lord, help me to remain in love for this one that gave so much to me in a lifetime.
Lord, give me the grace daily to arise to their needs.
Lord, help me to stay mentally, spiritually and physically strong so I can maintain the balance of a caregiver.
This is probably not the hardest task that I have ever encountered in my life, but it is the most unrewarding servitude that I have ever experienced. At times my flesh rears up. Help me Holy Spirit to control it.
Grant my loved one respite from the illness, and may I be a small part of making them comfortable.
Almighty God, there is a time that we must all face the end of our lives. May You remember my good works and grant me the very same dignity that I have provided for my loved one.
Be with this dear one and strengthen me as this journey continues as You strengthened Jesus in the Garden. It is in His name I pray. Amen

Loving Father, it is truly a gift from You to have a grandchild. Words alone can never express the love I have in my heart for this child, and the gratitude I have to You for granting me with this gift of life.
How pleasant have the lines of life fallen for me that I should live to see my child bear a child. How grateful I am for the opportunity to participate in my grandchild's life.
I was in awe when I first laid my eyes upon this baby, and I know I will be just as awed as I see this young one grow and develop into adulthood.
Lord God, I pray that You remind me that I am not the parent, but the privileged grandparent and that I might not overstep my boundaries and authority. But oh, Lord I do want to participate in shaping this child into a wonderful God fearing person who knows You and calls upon Your name.
Help me to always pray without ceasing for this child.
Help me always to be kind and patient.
Help me not to push my thoughts upon this child, but help them instead develop their own.
Help me to give this grandchild fond memories of our times together so that they might know the warmth of a grandparent.
Heavenly Father, develop me into a loving grandparent that any child would be happy to introduce to their friends. Let me always display love and support, and help me to cherish all the moments that we will have together. They will keep me through my failing years.
Thank You Almighty God for designing that a grandparent have such an important role in a child's life. Keep me in the shelter of Your everlasting arms so that I might serve You well in helping to raise this child up to the glory of Christ Jesus. Amen
