Lord God, I can not think offhand of a worse death and stigma attached to it. I have AIDS and I have been labeled as unrighteous. All I know is that I am afraid, I am lonely, and I have been ostracized from many. Now I must suffer before dying despite medical progress connected with this diagnosis.
You alone, Lord God Almighty know me at this moment. We are told, Psa 14:3 "They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one." So my feeling of filth is universal and that is why I plead for Your grace and for Your mercy. You alone Lord God will be my Judge and my Comforter as I face my disease and inevitable death.
Father God, I know of those that have gone before me in this life and death. I know of those that have gotten this disease without the accusations attached to it. You and I alone know what my history is. I know You are merciful. I know that Your Son has so loved the world that He gave Himself for me; for those that believe that His shed blood cleanses us from all sin.
I believe that Jesus is preparing a room for me in heaven, because I have not only confessed all my sins and repented, but I have accepted Him as my personal Savior.
Father God, as I race toward the end of my life, I ask, no I beg, Your mercy to be with me and displayed as Your love and acceptance. I ask that although my life on earth may not have been lived in dignity that my death might be noted as such.
Father God, I ask for medical research to ease the suffering of those in this condition and offer hope that we might be relieved of our pain and suffering in a Godly fashion.
Father God, until the end, I ask that I might know You, proclaim Your name and give witness that You still love and accept us through Christ Jesus, Your Son in whom I pray. Amen

Prayer For God's Guidance

Lord God, I recall Scripture that says, (Songs 1:4) "Draw me; we will run after Thee" I am seeking Your guidance. I am seeking Your highest will. I am seeking to be led by You.
The Israelites were so clearly guided by You as a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire. Their guidance was made so clear. They did not move until they saw You clearly.
Lord God, I stand at crossroads and I am not sure how to proceed. I am sure though that I don't want to make a move without Your approval. I do know that I am in need of Your peace and Your support. I do not want to run ahead of You and make a foolish mistake that I will be forever living to regret.
I am asking for a clear and concise sign that I might experience Your guidance. I need confirmation in my heart that what I embark upon will be Your highest will for me. I need Your direction clearly, and I need to push back the flesh that would cause me to hesitate following You completely.
Lord God, I ask for You to reveal Your will and way to me. Open up my senses so that I might experience what the answer is to my quest. So many times Jesus went apart in the desert to gather intimacy from You. I set myself apart to see Your divine guidance and I thank You that You will indeed clearly reveal to me the path I must take. I thank You in the name of Jesus Christ that I might call You loving Father. Amen

Prayer For Child's Safety

Father God, I have all the confidence I need to know You desire the safety of my child as I do. Therefore I pray for the protection of my young one.
You sent an angel to forewarn Joseph that Herod was seeking the life of the infant Jesus. Joseph and Mary fled with the Christ child and His life was spared. Father God, I pray for a hedge of protection to be upon my child. I pray for safety and I will do what is necessary to keep him safe as he is growing up.
There are so many concerns and dangers in today's society. Evil can run rampant. There are so many unrecognized hazards in the household. Things we would never dream to be a threat. There are so many accidents that can happen with just a normal activity or outing. Things that are totally unexpected and appear to be random chance. Lord God, in Your mercy make me aware and alert.
Lord God, in Your mercy send angels to watch over my child. Keep him safe from all that may harm. Protect his life and grant him a long life that is accident free.
I thank You for this child, Your favor and protection, and I thank You for this opportunity to come before You with the desires of my heart. I thank You through Jesus Christ who grants my petition. Amen

Almighty God, we are told that we are without excuse for not believing in Your existence. Rom 1:20 "For the invisible things of Him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even His everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse." We bring to You in prayer the atheist.
Lord God, they can not see Your splendor as we do. They can not feel Your sweet Presence. They have no knowledge of You. They do not believe in eternal life through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus. We pray for them that before they put off their earthly bodies they might come to a saving knowledge of Christ Jesus. We ask that members of the Body might be able to persuade them. We pray for a mighty witness and testimony. We pray that within the depths of their soul they might seek salvation and eternal life even if the desire is buried deep within them..
Lord God, help them to set aside pride and rebellion. Help them to open their minds. Help them to see You clearly. Help them to set aside the poor choices they have made in their lives all to dispute You.
Lord God, it is such a heartbreak to see them live a life of ignorance and denial. We pray for their conversion, as we ourselves were found by Christ. We pray the Holy Spirit to keep on convicting them, to keep on calling them, to keep on placing evidence in their pathway. We pray for mercy upon their soul.
Lord God, we pray as believers in Christ that You grant us patience in witnessing, Light as examples, and unending testimony addressed to them. Help us to hold on to the very end. Help us to feel compassion and help us to never tire of prayer and intercession for their soul. We ask this through Christ Jesus, our Savior. Amense

Prayer For Baby With Birth Defects

God Creator, our baby has been born with a birth defect. We do not understand how this could happen. We do not understand how You could allow the knitting of this baby's body together to go wrong. We wonder about the potential of this child and how much he might be handicapped. We missed that wonderful moment at birth when we say we have counted the toes and there are ten. That was always the signal that the baby was born well, in health and without abnormality. We are saddened on this occasion.
We also make a conscious decision not to dwell on the negative, but on the potential. We ask You to bless this life, as well as parents and doctors who must now let medical science do what it can, if it can. We ask for Your divine wisdom and guidance in treatment. We ask You for comfort for the child. We ask You for acceptance. We seek Your peace and blessings. We ask that we not spend time in mourning and loss but in rejoicing that You have given us a special gift of life. Let us dwell in Your Presence and recall that You are a God of love and mercy.
Heavenly Father, You must think of us parents higher than we think of ourselves. You have trusted us to do what is best for this baby and to train him up to compensate for this defect. Grant us the love and compassion to soar.
Lord, help this child to never settle for less than best because of his limitation, but to excel. Help him to not feel marked or targeted for pity. Help him someday to understand his unique life and why You have laid this special burden upon him. Help him to accept what cannot be changed and to change the limitations and restrictions that he might feel with a positive try-it attitude.
Father God, thank You for life and thank You for the blessing of this child. After communing with You, I know that he is perfect, through Christ Jesus' sacrifice.
Amen

Lord God, You are the Author and Finisher of our faith. You alone have the power of creation and the power to return man to dust. We bring our loved one to You and we ask that You be merciful as he prepares his ascent to You.
Lord God, we ask that You release him from this suffering and deteriorating body. We ask that this death have dignity. We ask that You do not delay. We ask that our boldness to come before Your throne of grace with this petition is accepted with the compassion in which it is meant to be.
Lord God, we pray that the Comforter be with this loved one. We pray that Your Presence is realized. We pray that Jesus come and lead him to the room in His mansion that He so plainly declared to us.
Lord God, we ask that others be there by his side to ease the process of the body shutting down. We pray for compassion and care giving from others who shall someday make the journey themselves.
Lord God, we ask for the absence of fear and fright for our loved one. We ask that this person be aware of Your promise, Ecc 7:8 "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof." As his life ends, turn mourning into rejoicing.
May it please You to have this soul return unto You, through Christ Jesus who died for this beloved one. Amen

We rejoice, Almighty God in the privilege of bringing this baby before You and dedicating him to You in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
We rejoice, Almighty God that as Christians we are called to witness this event and to pledge our care for watching over the spiritual growth of this child.
We rejoice, Almighty God, that Hannah has shown us the way by mingling her tears with her prayers recognizing Your mercy in granting life and dedication. We celebrate this child becoming a member of the Kingdom of heaven.
We rejoice, Almighty God for Your favor upon this child as he grows in wisdom and stature.
We rejoice, Almighty God, in the parents who have made the decision for this child.
We rejoice, Almighty God that the church, family and friends recognize this dedication and the responsibility to raise up this child in the way he should go.
We ask Your guidance, favor and protection to be upon this baby from this day forward. It is our pleasure to offer this baby to You and to Your service, through Christ Jesus, the ultimate servant of God. Amen

Prayer For Pet's Euthanasia
Heavenly Father, I had to face a decision that I never thought I could make. I had to have my beloved pet euthanized. What a struggle to come to this decision. What anxiety and grief I feel. And now there is the guilt.
Father God, this decision was not made with haste. I believe that You are the giver and taker of life. I have never before had to place myself in this position. I made this choice with great love and compassion in my heart.
Almighty God, I ask for your forgiveness for taking a life and for not waiting on You as I have done with all my other pets. I am glad that we have this option to spare our pets from inhumane suffering and that we are able to give them a peaceful death.
Lord God, I thank You that You have given this means to trusted Veterinarians that mourn an animal's death and that have compassion and understanding for the owner who struggles with this decision.
God of all comfort, I thank You for ministering to me during this procedure and afterward when reality haunted me. I thank You that I did not have to face this alone. I thank You for all the family and friends that granted me solace during my grief. I thank You for a wonderful support system.
Creator God, I thank You in Your wisdom that You have given us companion animals to love. I thank You for my animal's loyalty and faithfulness. I thank You for the rich memories I have to hold onto.
Lord, in Your mercy I have returned my pet to You. In Your mercy I believe You hold him in Your heart for his faithful service to me on earth. I pray that I might have peace of mind and presence of spirit to know that You are indeed in control. I bring my petition before You, in the name of the Good Shepherd. Amen

I go to sleep
without a peep
My parents told me so.
I close my eyes
I trust God is wise
And protects me from my foe.
I pray that when I awake
You did not forsake
This little prayer to You.
Watch over me, Lord Jesus. Amen

Almighty God, I am scared. I am furious. I have been violated. I seek justice. I have fallen victim to a crime.
God, I do not know how I will ever be able to trust people again. I would have never imagined this could happen to me. I am angry that You did not protect me and prevent this. I am angry at myself that I wasn't more alert. I am upset that now I have become a statistic, one of many that have had a crime committed against them.
Lord, I also feel guilty that I am so filled with bitterness and that I seek vengeance more than I want justice. I need Your divine help to get through this uncomfortable position.
God, we are told to pray for our enemies and by doing so we reap coals of fire upon their heads. I can pray that they are prosecuted and pay their debt for this crime. I can pray that they are convicted by You and that they reach a place of remorse for this act. I can pray that this desperate person comes to realize Jesus Christ as their Savior and turn their life around. Although it is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, I can pray that I learn to forgive this person from my heart so that I do not become entangled in the root of bitterness.
Lord, I bring these emotions and this prayer to the foot of the cross and I place it there having faith that You have heard me and will help me through the adjustment. Be with me and comfort me. Help me to reason with You and to move past the violation that I feel back to normalcy in my life. I thank You that I do know You are watching over me and will bring a resolution to the way I am feeling. I do thank You that I can come honestly to You through the name of Jesus Christ, who experienced the worst hate crime known to mankind. Amen
